It was almost a terrible day for Los Angeles as an explosion nearly took out a group of firefighters.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters were called to "SmokeTokes," a butane honey oil manufacturer, just before 8 am for a one-story fire.

Firefighters engaged in an aggressive attack in the offensive mode. After making their way into the building to chase the seat of the fire, a significant explosion occurred.
A short time later, a mayday was put out over the radio and multiple firefighters found with significant injuries. Additional units were added to the scene, making this a Major Emergency incident.
While crews continued to battle the blaze, a medical branch was created to attend to the injured. In total, 11 firefighters had severe burns.
This investigation is ongoing.
