Tens of thousands of Helly Hansen sweaters and hoodies have been recalled.
In a recall notice posted to its website, Health Canada said that the recalled products are a “flammability hazard.”
“The affected products, which incorporate brushed cotton fabrics that have undergone a specific treatment, either do not or may not comply with the Textile Flammability Regulations,” Health Canada explained.

Helly Hansen reported that 128,680 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between August 2019 and August 2022.
A wide range of different sweaters and hoodies are included in the recall.
If you have one of these clothing items in your closet, you are told to immediately stop wearing them and contact Helly Hansen for a product replacement credit.
Fortunately, there had been no reports of incidents or injuries in connection with the affected products as of Jan. 9.
