Friday’s $75M Lotto Max jackpot is the largest in Canadian history

A historic lottery jackpot is up for grabs on Friday night.

It was only this month that the cap for Canadian lottery draws increased from $70 million to $80 million and it didn’t take long for the change to produce a never-before-seen jackpot.

Friday night’s Lotto Max jackpot is a whopping $75 million, which is the largest jackpot prize in Canadian lottery history.

There are also 12 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million available for a total of $87 million in combined prizes up for grabs.

If the new record jackpot isn’t won on Friday, history will be made again on Tuesday, Sept. 17, as the jackpot rises to the new maximum of $80 million.

Those wanting to give themselves a chance to become Canada’s newest multi-millionaire this weekend have until 7:30 pm PST on Friday to buy a Lotto Max ticket.

You can buy tickets from any of the 3,400 lottery retailers in BC or online at PlayNow.com.

The odds of winning the main Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.
