Jollibee is expanding to Western Canada and one man is clearly excited.
Ahead of the fried chicken chain’s grand opening on Aug. 16 in Edmonton, one man has cemented his spot as the first customer through the doors.
He’s been camped out since Tuesday afternoon, nearly three days before the restaurant will open to the public.
On top of being the first to get his hands on some food from Jollibee, this man will be rewarded for his commitment.
The first 50 people through the doors that spend $25 or more on Friday will receive a year’s worth of Jolly Crispy Chicken from Jollibee.
Sadly, there’s a limit of one bucket of chicken per month, but it’s still a decent reward for sticking it out on the sidewalk for over 60 hours.
Along with fried chicken, Jollibee also serves burgers, hot dogs, noodles, rice meals and breakfast, as well as fries and other sides.
The grand opening celebrations begin at 7 am on Friday, which means this man has another 43 hours or so to kill on the sidewalk.
