More history: Lotto Max jackpot up to record-breaking $80M for Tuesday’s draw

There was no winner on Friday, which means history is being made again tonight.

Tuesday’s Lotto Max jackpot is set at $80 million, which is once again the largest jackpot prize in Canadian history.

The record-breaking jackpot comes after the cap for Canadian lottery draws increased from $70 million to $80 million earlier this month.

On Friday, the Lotto Max jackpot hit a new record of $75 million, but there was no winner and that means it’s up to a new high of $80 million for this evening's draw.

There are also an estimated 18 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million up for grabs, which means the total prize pool for the Sept. 17 draw is pushing $100 million.

Those wanting to give themselves a chance to become Canada’s newest multi-millionaire this weekend have until 7:30 pm PST tonight to buy a Lotto Max ticket.

You can buy tickets from any of the 3,400 lottery retailers in BC or online at PlayNow.com.

The odds of winning the main Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.
