Transport Canada has issued a recall that affects slightly more than 30,000 Mercedes-Benz that were sold in Canada.
If you own a C, CLK, CLS or E class Mercedes-Benz that was made in 2006 or 2007, your vehicle is included in the recall.
“On certain vehicles, the sunroof glass may not be properly attached to the sliding roof frame,” says the recall notice.
“Over time, the glass can become loose and could separate from the vehicle.”
This can obviously create a hazardous situation for others on the road and increase the risk of a crash.

If you haven’t already received a notice from Mercedes-Benz in the mall, you should take your vehicle to a dealership as soon as possible.
Dealers will inspect the bonding of the sunroof glass and replace the sliding roof if necessary.
