With the PyeongChang Olympics just four months away, Team Canada and Hudson’s Bay have unveiled the 2018 Winter Olympic collection.
The “authentically Canadian” look was unveiled at a show hosted by Patrick Langlois and Roseline Filion at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre on Tuesday.
Fifteen athletes, including Kelowna’s Kelsey Serwa, were part of the unveiling, walking the runway in Team Canada’s 2018 collection.
“This year’s collection was inspired by iconic Canadian winter style, resulting in a proud, vibrant and modern look,” wrote Paula Nichols from the Canadian Olympic Committee.
The collection includes the outfits that will be worn by all Team Canada athletes at the opening, closing and medal ceremonies.
It also features leisurewear for the athletes to sport in and around the Olympic Village.
In total, Olympic athletes will be given 28 items from the collection to sport in PyeongChang.
All 28 items will be available for any Canadians to purchase at all Hudson’s Bay locations across Canada, as well as online, starting later this month.
That includes the latest version of Canada’s iconic Red Mittens, which have raised more than $30 million for Canadian athletes over the years.
The ninth edition of the mittens will be sold for $15, with $3.90 from each pair going to the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang will begin on February 9th, 2018 and run through February 25th, 2018.
