The Art of Intelligence: Exploring AI’s Role in Creativity, Culture, and Community

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we think, create, and connect.

Once viewed as a tool for efficiency, AI has quickly become a creative collaborator — reshaping how stories are told, art is made, and ideas come to life. But as the line between human and machine creativity continues to blur, one question remains: how do we embrace technology without losing what makes us original?

That’s the question at the heart of The Art of Intelligence, happening Monday, October 27, 2025, at the Rotary Centre for the Arts.

This inspiring evening explores how AI is influencing creativity, culture, and community, bringing together a powerhouse lineup of thinkers and makers who are leading the conversation on what it means to create in the age of intelligence.

Keynote: Valerie McTavish — Creating with Intelligence

As the world wrestles with what AI means for art and authenticity, Valerie McTavish brings a refreshing and grounded perspective.

In her keynote, Creating with Intelligence: How to Stay Creative and Original in the Age of AI, McTavish dives into how we can use technology to amplify human imagination rather than replace it.

With more than 30 years of experience in broadcasting, journalism, and content strategy, she has built a reputation for helping entrepreneurs and creatives clarify their message and find their true voice.

“AI can help us express ideas faster,” McTavish says, “but it’s our curiosity, ethics, and imagination that give those ideas meaning.”

Through real examples and a practical framework, she’ll show how human creativity and artificial intelligence can work hand-in-hand to unlock a new era of authentic innovation — one where technology enhances originality instead of erasing it.

Audiences can expect to leave feeling inspired, empowered, and better equipped to create with confidence in this fast-changing landscape.

Panel Discussion: Creativity in the Age of AI

Following the keynote, McTavish will be joined by two creative leaders who are already experimenting with the possibilities and boundaries of AI in their own work: Cale Frombach, Erikka Moojelsky and Robbie G.

<who>Cale Frombach</who>

Cale Frombach is an award-winning creative AI consultant who develops media production workflows for Hollywood studios and Fortune 500 companies.

He’s published more than 250 open-source models and works with top AI firms around the world to help organizations turn emerging technology into practical results. Frombach’s insight will peel back the curtain on what’s really happening behind the AI revolution and what’s next for creative industries navigating this new frontier.

<who>Erikka Moojelsky</who>

Erikka Moojelsky brings the human touch. A Kelowna-based fashion designer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, she has spent more than two decades using creativity as a tool for connection and community.

Through her sustainable label AesthetiKs Atelier, her non-profit AesthetiKs LAB, and her work as a co-founder of Kelowna Fashion Week, Moojelsky blends artistry with purpose. Her work reminds us that while technology can inspire, creativity remains rooted in empathy, imagination, and heart.

There is something to be said of an artist with over 1000 live shows under his belt in the last decade, half of which were headlining slots. Robbie G (Robert Gruenbauer) has been making his impact on the genre of hip-hop by releasing music that makes a difference in people's lives.

Being passionate and personable with his fans, coupled with his ability to put on a high-energy performance, Robbie G has captivated lovers of the hip-hop genre and music listeners all over the world.

His music has been viewed/streamed by millions online, with thousands of copies of his albums sold internationally, including notable special feature guests from Swollen Members, Merkules, DAX, Dub FX, Joell Ortiz & more.

Performing alongside major artists such as Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, Nelly, Akon, Sean Paul, while releasing six mixtapes and twelve albums - including his hot, new, release titled "Finding Balance" set to release at the end of 2025.

Together, this panel will explore the opportunities and challenges of merging creativity and AI asking important questions about originality, ethics, and the evolving role of human artistry in a tech-driven world.

Where Art, Innovation, and Community Intersect

There’s no better setting for this conversation than the Rotary Centre for the Arts, a hub for creativity and collaboration in Kelowna. As the event’s day sponsor and venue host, the RCA continues its mission of fostering artistic exploration and community dialogue.

“The intersection of art and technology is one of the most exciting spaces to explore,” says the event team. “It’s where innovation meets imagination and where meaningful conversations about the future begin.”

The evening promises a mix of insight, inspiration, and connection perfect for artists, entrepreneurs, innovators, and anyone curious about how AI is shaping our collective creative future.
