Police in London have made a second arrest after an eight-months-pregnant woman was stabbed to death in the city early on Saturday morning.
The 26-year-old, Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, died at the scene in South London – but her baby was delivered on the spot by paramedics.
It is now in a critical condition.
The attack happened at about 3.30 a.m.
A 29-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 37-year-old man who was previously arrested has been released under investigation.
On Saturday night, meanwhile, another Londoner – a man in his late-20s – was likewise stabbed to death.
The British capital has experienced a tragic increase in violence over recent years, with homicide figures the highest in a decade.
Knife crime has become a particular problem in the city.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan tweeted after the news: "Violence against women is endemic in society and devastating murders in the home, like this one, show the scale of the problem we face."
