A Scotsman proved his brawn over the weekend after breaking the ice of Loch Glascarnoch and swimming in sub-zero temperatures near Ross-Shire, Scotland.
Norman Todd, 45, swam without a wet suit to train for his next wild swim event, The Minch, and managed to last about 10 minutes in the water.
According to filmmaker, Steven Gourlay, the temperature during Saturday's swim was about -8 C.
Todd, who hails from the harbour town of Ullapool, completed a Herculean swim in October, with fellow Highlander, Colin MacLeod of Stornoway.
The two swimmers suffered for nine hours in the frigid waters.
