Nestlé recalls non-dairy Drumsticks because they may contain milk

Nestlé Canada Inc. has issued a recall that affects a large portion of Canada.

The recall is for a pair of non-dairy products and it’s due to undeclared milk.

Drumstick Caramel Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Cones and Drumstick Vanilla Chocolate Swirl Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Cones are the two recalled products.

“People with an allergy to milk should not consume the recalled products described below,” explains the recall notice.

There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products.

The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results and the organization is now conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to more recalls.

According to the recall notice, the products have been distributed and sold in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and possibly in other provinces as well.

The CFIA is verifying that the industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace.
