But, a frozen turkey, a dozen pizzas, a turtle shell, blue wig, aquarium fish, a 25-pound kettlebell and trophy with the name 'Adam' on it?
Those items definitely fall under the unique, the quirky, the strange.
Uber has released its annual Lost & Found Index list to highlight the common and the defintely-not-common items Canadians are leaving behind in the rides they hail.
Uber now has service in most of British Columbia, including Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Kamloops, Victoria, Nanaimo, Prince George and Vancouver.
Kelowna also has the dubious distinction of ranking No. 9 on Uber's 'most forgetful cities in Canada' list.
But, let's start with the most random stuff left behind:

Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary rank among Canada's least forgetful cities.
The most forgetful hour is Sunday at 1 am.
Makes sense, if you're riding Uber at that time you've had a long-long Saturday night and your brain may not be firing on all cylinders.
People leave the most stuff behind over Halloween and on New Year's Day -- maybe part of your costume or anything associated with New Year's Eve revelry.
If you leave something behind in an Uber, it's not gone forever.
The ride-hailing company says the best way to get a lost item back is to call the driver directly.
Do this by tapping 'your trips' on the Uber app, select the trip where you forgot something and scroll down to tap 'find lost item'.
There's a $20 return fee, which goes entirely to the driver to cover the inconvenience of getting the item back to you.
In a few cities in the US, Uber is piloting Uber Courier, which can also be used to return your lost item.
It can also be used as a pick up and delivery service to do things like gather the keys you left at your friend's place or retrieve the hoodie you forgot at your ex's house.
Uber Courier is expected to roll out in Canada later this year.
