The Quebec minister responsible for fighting racism has warned that the province risks creating "two types of citizen: one that is racialized and one that isn't" after a drug trafficker's sentence was reduced because of his skin colour. Christopher Skeete said: “The fight against racism has always been one about equality under the law, yet here, we’re actually well intentioned but creating inequality."

More despatches from the wacky world of the CBC, where a reporter based in Kamloops has been accused of uttering falsehoods during a train-wreck interview with a professor last year. In a chat about residential schools with Frances Widdowson, a former politics professor, reporter Jordan Tucker says "there have been over 6,000 bodies found at this point." The recording has been publicized by opponents of the CBC, including the journalist Candice Malcolm, who wrote: "This is why we MUST REPLACE the CBC." CBC lists Tucker as a "former journalist" at the state broadcaster.
This is a shocking story of a routine CBC hit-piece gone HORRIBLY WRONG.
