1. Activists hidden rainbow flag to get around LGBTQ flag ban in Russia

Six activists found a great way to get around Russia’s ban on LGBTQ flags during the FIFA World Cup. They formed a ‘hidden flag’ by wearing different colour soccer jerseys to make up a human flag of sorts. They then posed in different spots around Russia, basically bringing the flag with them wherever they went.


2. Johnny Depp sued for allegedly punching crew member on set

He’s no stranger to drama like this, but Johnny Depp is back in the spotlight in a negative way. The actor is being sued for allegedly punching a crew member on the set of “City of Lies.” Depp reportedly punched and verbally assaulted location manager Gregg Brooks on set in April 2017.


3. Belgium and France square off in the first semi-final today

By the afternoon, we’ll know one of the teams that will play in Sunday’s World Cup final. France and Belgium are set to square off at 11 a.m. on TSN with a trip to the finals on the line. It promises to be a great game and the winner will likely be the favourite in Sunday’s final. England and Croatia play tomorrow in the tournament’s other semi-final.


4. Trump’s driver of 25 years is suing him

President Donald Trump is facing a lawsuit from the man who has driven him around for 25 years. Noel Cintron, Trump’s long time personal driver, says the president didn’t pay him overtime, raised his salary only twice in 15 years and cut his health benefits. The lawsuit was filed in Manhattan on Monday.


5. George Clooney sent to hospital after motorcycle accident

NBC has reported that George Clooney was involved in a motorcycle accident while riding in Italy. The crash sent the actor to hospital, but his injuries were not serious and he has since been released. Clooney is currently filming in Italy and was on his way to set at the time of the accident.
