1. Canadian premiers call for new pipelines built with Ontario steel

Premiers from across Canada are gathered in Ontario’s cottage country to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney and discuss the elimination of internal trade barriers amid US President Donald Trump’s tariff threats. Ontario’s Doug Ford, Alberta Danielle Smith and Saskatchewan’s Scott Moe have already signed a memorandum of understanding that calls for the construction of new pipelines using Ontario steel.


2. Colbert to Trump: “Go f*** yourself.”

Stephen Colbert had some choice words for US President Donald Trump on Monday night’s episode of The Late Show. He told the president to “go f*** yourself” during his monologue. Several other late night hosts, along with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, Adam Sandler and others, were in attendance at Monday’s show to support Colbert.


3. Alberta mother feared the worst for 4-month-old with measles

Morgan Birch wants Canadians to educate themselves on the importance of vaccines following a scare with her infant and measles. Her daughter Kimi Fukuta-Birch was too young to get the vaccine when she contracted the disease at just four months old. Birch now worries about the potential long-term health complications that could arise from getting the illness at such a young age.


4. Season 4 of Ted Lasso is now in production

The beloved Apple TV+ sports comedy Ted Lasso is one small step closer to a return. Apple revealed Monday that season four of the show is officially in production. Filming has started in Kansas City, but will soon move back to the United Kingdom. The official logline for season four reveals that Ted will return to Richmond to coach a second division women’s football team.


5. The Cosby Show star dead at 54 after drowning

Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died. Best known for playing Bill Cosby’s son Theo Huxtable on the hit NBC sitcom The Cosby Show, Warner drowned while swimming at Playa Grande de Cocles in Costa Rica while on vacation with his family. He was just 54 years old.
