A BC woman has been handed a 90-day driving ban after being caught driving while allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
On July 17, around 6:30 pm, the RCMP in Trail received a call about an impaired driver.
According to the call, the woman was seen driving across her neighbour’s lawn when she left her home.
When she returned home, she crashed into her own garage doors as she brought the vehicle to a stop, a news release said.
When the RCMP arrived, they found the vehicle still rammed against the garage door.
An officer spoke with the woman, who was found outside of her house. She admitted to being responsible for both incidents.
The officer believed her ability to drive was impaired by alcohol and ordered a breath sample, which resulted in a fail.
The 40-year-old woman was issued the driving ban and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
