Quesnel high school broken into 3 times in span of 1 week

A certain Quesnel high school may need to rethink security after they were broken into three times in one week.

According to police, a man was arrested after Correlieu Secondary School lost computer and camera equipment during the three break-ins.

The first incident took place on December 11th in the early hours of the morning. After getting into the building, the suspect made off with a lone computer.

On December 19th, the school was targeted a second time when a suspect stole over $1,800 worth of camera equipment. The final incident occurred the next day but didn't result in any theft. The December 20th incident did see damage to the school.

"The police have identified the suspect in the December 19 break and enter," said Richard Weseen. "The 18-year-old Quesnel man was arrested and released on an Undertaking. His name is not being released at this time. The investigations into the break and enters are ongoing and the officers are working diligently to hold those responsible accountable."

Anyone with information on the break-ins is asked to contact Quesnel RCMP at (250)992-9211.
