Movie lovers can now explore a new interactive tool that allows them to see where movies, TV shows and even commercials were filmed in the BC Interior.
The Thompson-Nicola Film Commission re-launched a new movie locations map Tuesday.
The interactive map gives details about each production, including whether the locations are accessible to the public, and where to watch or stream each movie, show, music video or commercial.
Thompson-Nicola locals can also see if the production is available through their local library.
“With the support of Destination BC, we’ve created this interactive tool to help you explore these incredible locations,” the Commission says.
“Whether you’re a film enthusiast, a curious traveller, or a local looking to rediscover your region, this map is your window into the cinematic history of the TNRD.”
The list includes movies like the A-Team, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, Jurassic World Dominion, The Twilight Saga – Eclipse.
TV shows include Smallville, The Stand and episodes of shows like The X Files, Mantracker and MTV’s Fear.
The movie map is a testament to the incredible variety of locations in the Thompson-Nicola region,” said Terri Hadwin, TNFC Film Commissioner.
“We’re thrilled to offer this resource to both film enthusiasts and visitors, showcasing how our unique landscapes and communities have played starring roles in productions from around the world.”
