You’d be hard-pressed to find a more picturesque setting for a wine festival.
The Silver Star Wine Festival is set to return to the beautiful Monashee Mountains from Aug. 10-13, 2023.
The four-day wine and food experience will feature over two dozen BC Wineries, tasting seminars, culinary experiences, art, music and easy access to the resort's mountain biking and hiking trails.
Dana Lee Harris, proprietor of the wine marketing and event consultants that are leading the execution of the festival, says that the event will be as fun to organize as it will be for guests to attend.
“Our entire team is excited to be involved with Destination Silver Star, the hospitality establishments at Silver Star Mountain and all the BC wineries attending,” she explained.
The signature walk-about tasting event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 12, alongside an elevated culinary experience with Chef Bernard Casavant.
Casavant is a BC Restaurant Hall of Fame inductee, certified Chef de Cuisine and Lakehouse Kitchens Cooking School’s culinary director.
He says he looks forward to getting people excited about food and wine in such a spectacular outdoor setting.
“It is always inspiring to work with the fresh and locally sourced products our region has in abundance at this time of year,” noted Casavant.
“From the local wineries to all the farms and orchards, we can truly pick from the best offerings to dazzle the guests who are coming to experience the Silver Star Wine Festival.”
