This year, there’s the potential for three Blazers to be taken, as a trio of players are included in NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings ahead of the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Logan Stankoven, Caedan Bankier and Josh Pillar are ranked 31st, 102nd and 166th respectively among North American skaters.
Stankoven, a local product, scored seven goals and added three assists in just six games this season before departing to Texas to play for Team Canada at the U18 World Championship.
He helped the Canadian team to a gold medal, posting four goals and four assists in seven games at the tournament.
Bankier had a fantastic season, notching 11 goals and 12 assists in 22 games, finishing third on the team in scoring and helping the Blazers to a BC Division title.
Pillar was the leading scorer for Kamloops this year, scoring 11 goals and adding 18 helpers in his third season with the club.
The 2021 NHL draft is scheduled to take place virtually on July 23-24.
