BC reports 375 new cases of COVID-19 and 7 deaths

British Columbia is reporting 375 new cases of COVID-19, this brings the total number of active cases in the province to 2,936.

Since the start of the pandemic, 213, 394 people who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered from the virus.

Of the new/active cases this is how they break down in each region:

• Fraser Health: 98 new cases (994 active)
• Island Health: 76 new cases (569 active)
• Vancouver Coastal Health: 70 new cases (476 active)
• Interior Health: 69 new cases (537 active)
• Northern Health: 62 new cases (360 active)
• No new cases of people who reside outside of Canada (zero active)

There are currently 301 people in hospital with COVID-19, and 98 of those individuals are in intensive care.

In the past 24 hours, seven new deaths have been reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,340.

From the new deaths, three were reported both in Fraser Health and Island Health, and one in Vancouver Coastal Health.

There are currently five active COVID-19 outbreaks at healthcare facilities across the province.

• Fraser Heath: George Derby Centre, Ridge Meadows Hospital
• Northern Health: Peace Villa, Laurier Manor
• Vancouver Coastal Health: St. Paul's Hospital

In the past week (Nov. 23-29) this is how cases broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:

• Not vaccinated: 1,310 (54.3%)
• Partially vaccinated: 95 (3.9%)
• Fully vaccinated: 1,009 (41.8%)

Over the past two weeks (Nov. 16-29) this is how cases hospitalized broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:

• Not vaccinated: 171 (64.0%)
• Partially vaccinated: 11 (4.1%)
• Fully vaccinated: 85 (31.8%)

Since December 2020, the province has administered 8,709,802 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

From the eligible people five and older in BC, 84.8% (4,228,684) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 81.7% (4,072,923) have received their second dose.

Of the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 91.2% (4,225,895) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 87.9% (4,072,902) received their second dose, and 9% (434,790) have received a third dose.

Also, 91.6% (3,960,344) of all eligible adults in BC have received their first dose, 88.4% (3,823,351) received their second dose, and 10% (434,146) have received a third dose.
