Active cases of COVID-19 continue to increase in the BC Interior.
Today, Interior Health reported 31 new cases of the virus over the past 24 hours.
It brings the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 1,203, with 235 of them currently active.
One person has left hospital over the past 24 hours, leaving just one person currently hospitalized due to COVID-19, but they’re in the intensive care unit.
There were no change in numbers with regards to the three long-term care facility outbreaks in Kelowna, Kamloops and Penticton.
As an entire province, British Columbia reported 516 new cases of COVID-19 today, which means IH’s case count contributed 6% of that total.
