It was an active weekend for Interior Health when it comes to new COVID-19 cases.
The health authority reported 104 new cases over the three-day weekend reporting period, which spans Friday through Monday.
It brings the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic up to 1,307, with 272 of them currently active.
Two more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 over the weekend as well, bringing the current total for the BC Interior to three.
IH also provided an update on certain outbreaks, including the one at the RIH Patient Care Tower construction site in Kamloops.
There are now 13 cases linked to the outbreak, but the additional cases aren’t new and are instead being attributed to ongoing contact tracing.
No additional cases have been linked to the three long-term care facility outbreaks in Kelowna, Kamloops or Penticton.
One more case has been identified in the Salmo community cluster of cases, bringing the total up to 24.
