Loblaws has confirmed today that one of their employees tested positive for a presumptive case of COVID-19.
A spokesperson from Loblaws told NowMedia in an emailed statement that a team member from the Real Canadian Superstore on Grandview Highway in Vancouver was tested for the virus.
The employee has not been in the store since April 9, but they are reaching out to the public health authority and have taken a number of steps to minimize risk, including increased sanitization.
“Additionally, team members who worked closely with this individual are now at home in self-isolation, monitoring for any symptoms,” said the spokesperson.
The store was closed for a thorough cleaning and reopened today.
