How Canada's political cartoonists depicted legalization day

Cannabis is officially legal in Canada, whether citizens like it or not.

To celebrate, the National Post made clear its feelings towards legalization in a not so nuanced editorial cartoon on today’s cover.

The cartoon missed the mark for a lot of people, many of whom didn't hesitate to share their opinions about the piece on social media.

Maybe if your cartoonist hit the joint their comics would actually be funny

Where's the cartoon of the dad coming home drunk and beating the sh*t out of me... I mean his kids?
Also the cartoon of the person outside the hospital with their gown and oxygen tank, smoking with the hole in their throat?
I think all the legal substances should be represented.

However, not all today's cartoons were so literal, with several artists using Oct. 17 to depict the end of prohibition, Canada's world-leading stance of pot and of course, the munchies.
