A BC houseguest finally survived a week in the Big Brother Canada season 9 house

One of the Best Big Brother Canada seasons in recent memory continues to truck on.

Over the last week, we've seen clutch wins, savage backstabs, hilarious hijinx and everything in between. This all followed Josh's controversial eviction.

On Monday, we got to see Victoria take home the Head of Household competition just after Latoya tried to flip a vote to send Rohan home. This put a target on Latoya's back who was already looked at as a threat in the house.

Prior to the HOH competition, which saw the houseguests answer true or false questions from a TV screen, Kiefer said Victoria was responsible for the attempted vote flip, a blatant lie. This caused Kyle and Rohan to question her, though she proved what Kiefer said wasn't the truth.

After winning the HOH, Kiefer told Victoria to put him on the block because he was untruthful. She obliged but her real target was Latoya, who was also put on the block.

Before the Power of Veto competition, Jedson, Tychon and Austin were picked as players. This was costly for Victoria as everyone but Austin would look to change the nominations.

During a BBCAN crossword competition, the players needed to spell out words that had to do with the show. Jedson proved to be the best, winning the competition handily.

Following the win, Jedson, Latoya, Tychon and Beth met with Victoria, who explained that if Latoya was pulled down, she would replace her with Jedson's best friend in the house.

Jedson was noticeably furious and debated using the POV anyways. He did not end up calling Victoria's bluff and nominations were left the same.

After some campaigning from both sides, Latoya was blindsided and sent home by a 6-3 vote. She would only hug Tychon, Jedson, Beth, Tina and Breydon before walking out the door.

Needing a win, the remaining members of the Sunsetters alliance, which consisted of Kiefer, Jedson, Beth and Tychon at this point, dug in hard for a shuffleboard HOH. Kiefer would score a 10 and a nine to claim his first HOH.

Following some persuasion from Kyle, Rohan, Austin, Breydon and Victoria of the Oddballs, Kiefer decided to target a duo during his week. He ended up putting Kyle and Rohan on the block to end Monday night's episode.

In tonight's episode, we can expect the two to compete in the POV competition. With both being strong competitors, odds are nominations could change.

Shown below is where I believe some of the houseguests stand inside the BBC house:

Running the Game:

Tina: Everyone in the house seems to be okay with Tina and it doesn't look like she'll be going anywhere any time soon. She is sort of a floater but has a strong duo in Tera. In a game with so much chaos, the smartest thing is to fall in the middle, which is exactly what she has done.

Rohan: Ro is sort of the king of the Oddballs. Though he is a target, he often influences their decisions in the house. He can win competitions easily and has a bit of a shield in Kyle. A pretty good turnaround from almost being evicted just over a week ago.

Breydon: Breydon might just have what it takes to win this game if he can get some competitions under his belt. He has friends around the house and never seems to be an option when people are talking about targets. Losing Austin would really hurt him, but he seems like he could bounce back. A lot would have to go wrong for Breydon for him to get evicted any time soon.

Fan Favourites:

Victoria: Victoria had a crazy week and one of the most chaotic in the history of the show. she got her target out, lied a bunch and made the biggest dude in the house choose between his favourite girl and his best friend. She is the best thing about this season so far and everyone loves her.

Austin: Everyone loves Austin so far. She is winning competitions, creating alliances and has overall been very smart. It even looks like she and Kyle are starting to get close, so could a showmance be in the future?

Tychon: Ty just seems like a sweet dude and everyone loves him for it. He is calm, soft and in a love triangle with Jed and Beth. He's not in the best position gamewise, though it doesn't seem like anyone really wants to take him out.

In Trouble:

Kyle: Kiefer has made it clear, he would like to see Kyle gone. The hockey player from Red Deer has been no stranger to confrontation in the house and has yet to back up the talk with a competition win. He's honestly my favourite in the house, but as Josh said earlier in the season, "it's not your season to win."

Austin: She has been excellent this season and a pleasure to watch. Austin might be viewed as the biggest comp beast in the house, which is really saying something. This has also put a target on her back, something that is hard to shake. Getting closer to Kyle and being seen as a prominent duo with Breydon could spell disaster for this girl.

Kiefer: It is tough to say the HOH is in trouble, but he really might be. Kiefer is at the bottom of the totem pole in his own alliance, has no dominant ally and will likely be nominated as a pawn in a majority of cases. While he could last until jury, I can't see Kiefer winning the game.

Thoughts from John Luke:

First of, this has been an incredible season of the show and, if you noticed, they are officially at the same point my cast was when they got shut down, so congrats to them. Every week has been chaos, there has been tons of energy and I honestly have no clue who will win this game. I'm more so on the side of the Oddballs, though the Sunsetters are in control this week. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting Julie and Josh from this season in Vancouver this weekend and they are just the best. On a scale out of 100, they are 95% of a good time.

These opinions are just based on the nine aired episodes. Those looking for up-to-date information are encouraged to check out the BBC live feeds.
