Josh Ross announces Canadian tour with a stop in the Okanagan

One of Canada’s most exciting new country stars will be coming to the Okanagan next year.

Josh Ross announced a Canadian tour this morning that will see him play 12 shows in five provinces between Feb. 12 and March 9.

One of the final stops on the tour will be a show at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Monday, March 2.

Tickets to see Ross in Penticton, where he’ll be joined by Chandler Walters as an opening act, will go on sale through Live Nation at 10 am on Friday, Sept. 2.

A media release from Live Nation calls Ross “a global force” and “a next-generation talent who’s anything but standard.”

“On an unconventional path of his own design, Ross pairs a dark and mellow blast of modern country with a warm vocal rasp and rock inclinations, heart-on-his-sleeve songwriting and addictive hooks that heed no borders,” it says.

“Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, the former collegiate football player has leveraged his knack for emotional song craft into a series of certified hits.”

Ross hit No. 1 on the Canadian country charts with his dusky power ballad “Trouble” and followed that up with two more chart-toppers in “Ain’t Doin’ Jack” and “Single Again.”

He’s had five singles go platinum and even hit double platinum with “Trouble.”

Although Ross won’t hit the road until 2026, Okanagan country fans will have a chance to see him in Kelowna at the upcoming CCMA Awards.

Ross is tied with Cameron Whitcomb for the most nominations with six and will be performing at the awards show at Prospera Place, which will air live on CTV, on Saturday, Sept. 13.

After winning his first CCMA Award in 2023 and adding another five to his trophy case last year, it could be another big night for Ross in Kelowna next weekend.
