As is the case for many music festivals locally and around the globe, it’s been a long two years for Kaslo Jazz Etc Festival.
The intimate and laid-back festival has taken the last two years off due to COVID-19, but it’s ready to return this summer to Kaslo Bay Park.
It will bring an array of blues, jazz, Latin, folk and world music to the stunning setting of Kaslo Bay Park from July 29-31.
“Our unique floating stage transforms Kaslo Bay Park into a natural green amphitheater and sends live music reverberating out over Kootenay Lake,” explains organizers.
“All weekend long, world-class musicians perform against our breathtaking backdrop of mountains and sky.”
While the festival is still five months away, fans won’t have to wait long to find out who will be gracing the iconic floating stage.
The lineup will be released on Thursday, March 3, which is also when tickets go on sale through the festival’s website.
The last time Kaslo Jazz Etc Festival happened in 2019, acts like Nahko and Medicine for the People, Shred Kelly, Moontricks, Galactic, Elliott Brood and Khruangbin all graced the stage.
Organizers said they are still in the process of updating the website ahead of the March 3 lineup and ticket launch, but more details on the 2022 festival will soon be available online.
