It’s been over two decades since the multi-platinum rock band Live has travelled across Canada.
That will change early next year as they’ve announced the Like A Rollin’ Thunder Tour that will take them from west coast to east coast in February and March.
After a show in Abbotsford to kick things off, the tour’s second stop will be at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Big Wreck and Econoline Crush will serve as the opening acts in Kelowna.
The upcoming tour will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Live’s groundbreaking debut album Mental Jewelry.
Although the album was a modest breakthrough after changing their name from Public Affection to Live, it marked the start of a dominant decade for the foursome.
Throwing Copper (1994), Secret Samadhi (1997) and The Distance to Here (1999) all reached the top of the Canadian album charts.
Fans can expect to hear the band’s biggest hits like “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over You,” “Lakini’s Juice,” “The Dolphin’s Cry,” “Pain Lies on the Riverside” and more.
Tickets to catch the Like A Rollin’ Thunder Tour at Prospera Place on Feb. 24 will go on sale at 10 am on Friday, Sept. 19.
More information on tickets, as well as artist VIP packages, can be found on the band’s website.
