There’s good news and bad news for Morgan Wallen fans in British Columbia.
The good news is that the country superstar has announced a North American tour that will see him play 21 shows in 11 cities between June 20 and Sept. 13.
The bad news is that those dates do not include a stop in Vancouver as many major tours do.
However, there are still plenty of opportunities for BC fans to see Wallen in person this summer courtesy of four shows in Seattle and Edmonton.
He’ll be playing Lumen Field in Seattle on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26. Edmonton is the last stop on the tour as he’ll be at Commonwealth Stadium on Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13.
And if you do plan on travelling to either city to see Wallen, you’ll want to pick your date carefully because he has different opening acts for each night in Seattle and Edmonton.
Miranda Lambert will be the main support for the Friday night shows, while Brooks & Dunn will set the stage for Wallen for the Saturday night shows.
Anne Wilson will open both shows in Seattle, while Ella Langley is the first act on stage for both shows in Edmonton.
It’s called the I’m The Problem Tour, which is the name of Wallen’s new album that he says he is still working on.
“Excited to tell y’all more about it soon, but the title track will be out next Friday, Jan. 31,” noted a tour announcement post on Wallen’s social channels.
Pre-sale for the country singer’s summer tour begins on Thursday, Jan. 30, and fans have until Tuesday, Jan. 28, to sign up.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Jan. 31.
