It's officially a 'Cole World' in Scarborough, Ont.
In a stunning piece of sports news, Grammy-award winning rapper and hip-hop megastar Jermaine (J) Cole has signed a training camp deal with the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL).
Sources: J. Cole is signing contract with the Scarborough Shooting Stars (@sss_cebl) in the Canadian Elite Basketball League, the rap star's second consecutive year playing professionally. CEBL training camp began this week, with season opener on May 26.

J. Cole is no stranger to competitive basketball.
The 6 ft 3 in shooting guard played last season for the Rwandan based Patriots BBC of the Basketball Africa League.
He suited up in three games, scoring five total points, five rebounds and three assists in 15.2 minutes per game.

The 37-year old had a high school playing career with Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
He played two season for the varsity team, and in post-secondary, he practiced with the women's St. John's University program.
The Shooting Stars are an expansion team in the CEBL, along with the Montreal Alliance and Newfoundland Growlers.
The sole BC team, the Fraser Valley Bandits, play out of the Langley Events Centre.
For those who are looking to watch J. Cole play, you are in luck, as the Bandits host the Shooting Stars twice in the span of a month, On Saturday, June 18 and on Canada Day, July 1.
