Save the Date: Ben Klick brings his music home for a summer tour

Kelowna is buzzing with excitement as local country artist Ben Klick kicks off his 10th-anniversary tour, bringing his signature blend of thoughtful lyrics and engaging performances back to the community where it all began. With a jam-packed schedule that includes free outdoor concerts, ticketed shows, and intimate performances, Klick's tour promises to be a celebration of music, memories, and milestones.

Ben Klick, known for his infectious energy and genuine connection with audiences, is thrilled to be starting the tour in his hometown. "Ten years ago, on July 1st, my band and I played our first big show on the TD Beach stage in Kelowna, right behind the Grand," Klick reminisces. "This year, we get to recreate that moment, same stage, same time, ten years later. It's a full-circle moment for us."

The anniversary tour kicks off with a performance at Music in the Park in West Kelowna, leading up to the official 10th-anniversary show on Canada Day at 1 PM on the TD Beach stage. "The whole tour is about revisiting the places and venues that have been special to us over the years," Klick explains. "We've got three weeks of shows lined up, including stops in Salmon Arm, Blind Bay, and Scotch Creek. It's going to be a blast."

One of the unique aspects of Klick's tour is the mix of free outdoor concerts and ticketed events, ensuring that fans from all walks of life can join in the celebration. "We're doing a show at Crown and Thieves on the West side, which is such a cool little venue with a speakeasy vibe," Klick shares. "And we're ending the tour at the Train Station Pub in Kelowna on July 13th, which coincides with their 13th birthday. It's just me and my guitar for that one, and it's going to be something special."

In addition to his local performances, Klick has been spending time in Nashville, the heart of country music. "Nashville is inspiring," Klick says with enthusiasm. "The talent down there is incredible, and it's been amazing to immerse myself in that community. I've been writing a lot and recording new music, some of which I'll be debuting during this tour."

One of Klick's recent releases, "Gone Camping," has been a hit among fans, especially as it dropped just in time for camping season. "We released it on the May long weekend, and it's been great seeing the response," Klick says. "My parents are big campers, and they've been handing out stickers and fridge magnets at campsites. It's been a lot of fun."

Klick's passion for music is evident not just in his performances but in his approach to songwriting and guitar playing. "When it comes to choosing a guitar, it's like the wand chooses the wizard in Harry Potter," Klick jokes. "The guitar has to inspire me the moment I pick it up. If it doesn't make me sing in the store, it doesn't come home with me."

As Klick prepares to hit the road, he remains deeply connected to his roots in Kelowna. "Starting and ending the tour here means a lot to me," he says. "This community has supported me from the beginning, and I'm excited to share this milestone with them."

For those eager to catch Ben Klick's 10th anniversary tour, all details and ticket information can be found on his website, BenKlick.com, as well as his Instagram and Facebook pages. As Klick gears up for what promises to be an unforgettable series of shows, one thing is clear: his journey is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the unbreakable bond between an artist and his hometown.
