Another popular British Columbia music festival is set to make a triumphant return this weekend.
Salmon Arm Roots and Blues kicks off on Friday and will bring three days of great tunes and fun for the whole family to the Salmon Arm Fair Grounds.
“We can't wait to welcome everyone to Salmon Arm this weekend,” says Kevin Tobin, artistic director.
“The overwhelming support we’ve received from sponsors, volunteers and the community makes us even more excited about this weekend as we prepare to celebrate together once again.”
Tom Cochrane, Antibalas and Jann Arden are this year’s headliners, but there are no shortage of great acts on the undercard.
Ruthie Foster, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Five Alarm Funk, Shred Kelly, Cedric Burnside, CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band, Northern Cree and plenty others will join them over the course of the weekend.
There will also be workshops coordinated by Tim Crouch, a beloved part of the annual festival.
"Workshops and artist collaborations are integral to providing some of the most memorable and invigorating moments at a major festival," added Tobin.
Day passes are still available online and at the gate and kids aged 12 or younger can get in for free when with a ticketed adult.
