Tyler Childers has added dates to his Mule Pull ‘24 Tour and he is coming to our neck of the woods.
Along with his longtime band The Food Stamps, Childers will play a handful of shows within driving distance for British Columbian fans in August 2024.
That includes the Saddledome in Calgary on Tuesday, Aug. 6, Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Thursday, Aug. 8, and, if you’re hankering for an outdoor show in an unbeatable setting, the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington, on Friday, Aug. 23.
Allison Russell will be the opening act for the Canadian shows, while Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats will kick off Childers’ show at The Gorge.
As is often the case these days, fans are being asked to register for pre-sale before 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, Oct. 8. Once that closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive a code that grants access to tickets starting Wednesday, Oct. 11. Anything that is left after that process will go on sale on Friday, Oct. 13.
Childers got his start in music in 2010 and released his first studio album in 2011, but it wasn’t until several years later that he started to really experience commercial success.
His second studio album was released in 2017 to universal acclaim and he has since released four more records that have continued to build his loyal following.
The singer-songwriter’s music is a mix of country, bluegrass and folk, and the 32-year-old has said in the past that he emphasizes lyrical content in songs, comparing the songwriting process to telling short stories.
Childers won Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2018 Americana Music Honors & Awards and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance in 2020.
