McDonald’s burgers are far from gourmet food, but they still satisfy millions of people around the world on a daily basis.
In Canada, the fast-food chain will be making a few positive changes in hopes of making their popular menu items even tastier.
To start, the 100% Canadian beef patties will now be cooked in smaller batches, a change aimed at providing customers with “hotter and juicier beef.”
McDonald’s Canada is also promising storage changes for fresher and crispier produce, new bun recipes for warmer buns and more mac sauce on the iconic Big Mac.
With the exception of the Quarter Pounder lineup, onions will now be added directly on the patties while they're on the grill in an effort to intensify flavour.
"These improvements will not only result in hotter, juicier and tastier burgers that are cooked to perfection, but also showcase our ongoing commitment to ensuring Canadians get the best burger every time they visit McDonald's,” said Nicola Pitman, director of menu innovation.
To encourage people across the country to try the revamped burgers, McDonald’s Canada will be offering $3 Big Macs between Aug. 13-19.
