McDonald’s is bringing back some iconic throwback Happy Meal toys this week

It might be the adults buying the Happy Meals for themselves this week.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first ever Happy Meal, McDonald’s is bringing back a number of its most popular Happy Meal toys from the last four decades.

For four days, starting on Thursday, Nov. 7, you’ll find some iconic and notable toys inside your Happy Meal, whether you’re buying it for your kid or yourself.

"Happy Meal toys are as synonymous to childhood as the iconic red boxes are to the McDonald's brand," said Antoinette Benoit, chief marketing officer at McDonald's Canada.

"Now, parents can share fond memories with their kids while creating new ones as they unbox their Surprise Happy Meal to discover an old favourite."

From Grimace to a Tamagotchi to Bugs Bunny from Space Jam, the toys found in Happy Meals this week will surely take people right back to their childhood.
