Booking your flight this way will save you hundreds on your next trip

Booking a round-trip flight may seem like the best option when booking your flight, but did you know that booking two one-way flights could actually save you a significant amount of money?

If you are flexible with your travel dates, you can find great deals on flights by booking two one-way tickets instead of a round trip.

We’re going to show you how to do it and give you some other tips to you save even more money on your next trip.

Booking two one-way flights is simple, but it does require some flexibility on your part.

First, visit a flight booking website such as Google Flights or any other flight booking service you like to use and enter your departure and arrival destinations. Now, instead of selecting a round trip, you are going to select one way for both of your flights.

You can browse through the cheapest options for every day of the week when you open the calendar, so find one that is the cheapest and most convenient for you.

Then, repeat the process for your return flight. Be prepared to be flexible with your travel dates and times, as the cheapest options may not always be the most convenient.

Other money-saving tips:

  1. Pack light: You can avoid checked baggage fees, which can cost you over $50, by packing all of your belongings in a backpack or duffle bag because it counts as a personal item. Not only will you save money, but you'll also save time by avoiding long wait times at baggage claim and you won’t have the added stress of your bad mysteriously disappearing.

  2. Buy toiletries at your destination: Instead of packing toiletries in your luggage and paying a checked bag fee, you can use the toiletries provided by your hotel or find affordable options at local stores.

  3. Be flexible: Flexibility is key when it comes to saving money on flights. This can include flying during off-peak times and being open to alternate airports.

Using these tips, you can save money on your next trip and have more money to spend at your destination. So, the next time you're planning a trip, remember to book two one-way flights and pack light to maximize your savings.
