Canada's fastest growing national telecommunications company will be making an announcement later this week about the upgrade and expansion of their network in the Kamloops area.
Telsus confirmed on Wednesday that they will be making a major announcement at the Kamloops Airport on Friday afternoon.
This event will feature several local community leaders and Telus executives including Telus Executive VP Tony Geheran, Mayor Peter Milobar and Transportation Minister Todd Stone.
Earlier on Wednesday the company announced a significant investment in BC that would expand their fibre optic internet access, increase wireless speeds, rural coverage expanded and help healthcare providers.

Telus announced that the $4 billion investment will be invested through 2018 which will mean a total of more than $47 billion worth of investments in BC since 2000.
“Most notably, it will have a tangible impact on citizen’s lives as we directly connect homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, community centres and municipal governments in all corners of the province in our fibre optic network," said Telus Executive Chair Darren Entwistle
As one of the largest companies in BC, Telus hopes to continue to expand telecommunication networks throughout the province, including this list of projects.
