Kamloops RCMP is investigating a suspicious death at a motel along the Trans-Canada Highway.
At around 11:30 a.m. police were called to the 4 Seasons Motel on the 1700 block of Highway 1 in Kamloops. When officers arrived they found a 49-year-old man dead and the RCMP Serious Crime Unit was called in.
Police cars were still on the scene around 3:30 p.m. with the room blocked off with yellow caution tape.
Because the investigation is still in its early stages, Cpl. Cheryl Bush was not able to provide any further information while on the scene.
"At this point in time, we are looking at a suspicious death and we need to determine what has taken place here before we can release any further details," Bush said.
