A new grassroots network will be created in Kamloops to help entrepreneurs and organizations thrive in the community.
Kamloops Innovation has teamed up with the Startup Canada Network to create Startup Kamloops.
Startup Canada provides help to entrepreneurs through online programs, national awards, and partnerships with private and government groups.
“Kamloops Innovation is proud to support Startup Kamloops and its initiatives,” said Lincoln Smith, Executive Director at Kamloops Innovation, “this is a great opportunity to be connected to a Canada-wide network and leverage those connections for our entrepreneurs.”
Kamloops Innovation is a non-profit society that provides coaching and mentorship to early-stage ventures.
Last year, Kamloops Innovation won the Startup Canada Award for Entrepreneur Support in BC, sparking the movement to join the Startup Canada Communities program.
Startup Kamloops joins more than 25 existing Startup groups in the country which links entrepreneurs with each other.
Kamloops Innovation will be hosting the Startup Kamloops launch party on Thursday, April 21 from 4-6 p.m.
