The 2nd annual Dreams for Kids Day is underway at Papa John’s locations in Kamloops.
In partnership with the Sunshine Foundation of Canada, Papa John’s locations in Kelowna, Prince George, and Kamloops will be donating 100 per cent of proceeds made on April 27 to the Sunshine Dreams and Dreamlift program.
The money raised will go towards sending kids with disabilities or life threatening diseases on a trip to Disneyland.
Last year, 73 kids were sent to Disneyland after raising $42,000 in the inaugural Dream for Kids Day.
Sandra Lawrence of the Aberdeen location said she would like to surpass that number and serve over 500 pizzas.
“Last year was incredible. We raised $42,000 and we’re just hoping to surpass it this year,” said Lawrence.
The Papa John’s location in Aberdeen received some help from members of fire and ambulance services who are assisting in delivering pizzas.
Kamloops Blazers forward Nick Chyzowski and Mascot Digger will also be helping with deliveries over dinner time.
