The man facing charges of attempted murder in connection to the beating of 18-year-old Jessie Simpson will remain behind bars.
Kristopher Teichrieb, 39, was denied bail in Kamloops Provincial Court on Thursday morning.
Details of the bail hearing, that took place last week, are unable to be published due to a court-ordered publication ban.
In the early morning hours of June 19, Teichrieb saw Simpson standing on his driveway. The two had a confrontation in which Teichrieb allegedly beat Jessie Simpson with a baseball bat.
Simpson has been in a coma at the Royal Inland Hospital since the incident.
A GoFundMe campaign created by a friend of Simpson has raised over $10,000.
