1 driver dead after early morning highway crash

An early morning crash on the Trans Canada Highway in Kamloops has left one person dead and police seeking witnesses.

Around 2 am Saturday, Kamloops RCMP responded to a single-vehicle incident in the 2300 block of Hwy 1.

The white sedan was travelling eastbound when it left the highway. The driver was declared deceased at the scene.

“Kamloops RCMP will not be providing further details at this point as the incident is still under investigation,” wrote police.

“Should anyone have witnessed this incident and have not yet spoken to police, please contact the Kamloops detachment at (250) 828-3000.”
