1 injured in targeted Kamloops shooting, four suspects in custody

The Kamloops RCMP have arrested four people in relation to a late night shooting.

Shortly after midnight, police were called to the 100-block of Chestnut Avenue where shots were heard.

The RCMP confirm that someone was injured but has since been released from the hospital.

It is believed to have been a targeted shooting, police said.

However, an investigation is ongoing.

“Officers responded quickly and took four people into custody,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.

“We are asking people to please avoid the area as our investigators are expected to remain at the scene throughout much of the day.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP detachment at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2025-30111.
