The Art We Are is a downtown Kamloops staple with delicious bites for you to enjoy in the artisan-style cafe or on the go. All their wraps are made fresh daily and you can grab one for just over $8 or a grilled cheese for $7. In fact, all their soups and salads come for under $10. You can grab a large soup for $7.95 or a large salad for $7. An added bonus: The Art We Are is a No. 1 choice if you’re looking for dairy-free or organic options. Where: 246 Victoria St.
Leon John’s is the newest sandwich shop in the city and, if you haven’t stopped by, you are missing out on a delicious meal at a bargain. You can grab the daily roast any day of the week for $9. We’re talking pulled pork, roast beef, meatloaf, roast chicken and fresh-baked breads. You can also go for a cold-cut sub for under $8 and there’s vegetarian options for $7. If you’ve ever set foot in Tiger Ramen around noon, you’ll know it’s a hit lunch spot that’s always packed. There’s nothing to dislike on this menu with all different styles of ramen. Grab the soy sauce ramen or the miso ramen for $9.95 or less. You can also get the large rice bowl with chicken or pork, depending when you go, for around $9.50. Other options on the menu don’t quite make the cut for under $10 since they adjusted their prices, but you can find a couple other ramen dishes for under $11 — and they’re all delish. For a fresh deli option, Fratelli Foods is a one to check out in downtown Kamloops. Grab a custom made sandwich or wrap packed with fresh ingredients for around $6 at this local grocer. Choose from a wide selection of meats, veggies and breads for a delicious lunch on the go. Where: 223 Victoria St.
You can usually find an under-$10 lunch special at Lucky’s in Sahali — such as today’s offering of fried chicken sliders for just $4, not to mention free entertainment with whatever classic flicks they have playing on the telly that day. Other cheap eats on their menu include tacos for $6, juicy bratwurst and fries for $10 or steak and fries for $9.99. Where: 101-795 McGill Rd.
