Residents in and around the Ashcroft area should be aware that the emergency department at the Ashcroft Hospital and Community Health Care Centre will be closed temporarily this weekend.
According to Interior Health, limited staffing availability will cause the department to be closed from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 8 a.m. and then again from Sunday at 8 p.m. to Friday at 6 p.m.
Interior Health regrets this temporary closure and reminds residents to take special notice if they require care.
In the event of an emergency, residents should call 9-1-1 or travel to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, the Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt, or the Lillooet Hospital.
Emergency department services only run on the weekend in Ashcroft.
