There’s typically a little more skepticism about door-to-door canvassers these days compared to a couple of decades ago.
That’s why the BC Cancer Foundation is alerting the public that their canvassers are currently visiting homes in Kamloops to introduce residents to the charity’s monthly donor program.
For security and safety purposes, all canvassers will be wearing BC Cancer Foundation teal vests and ID badges, and they’ll never ask for or accept cash at the door.
Instead, their goal is to inform residents about the monthly giving program, and residents will receive a confirmation email if they choose to sign up.
“Monthly donations support life-saving cancer research and innovations to patient care taking place at BC Cancer, helping to change outcomes for people facing cancer across BC,” the Foundation explained.
Every dollar raised by the BC Cancer Foundation stays at BC Cancer to advance research and enhance care.
“We believe that together, we can break down cancer and make a difference in the lives of all British Columbians,” the Foundation added.
