Residents in and around the Valleyview area should be aware that parts of Valleyview Drive will be closed until June 30th.
According to the City of Kamloops, a BC Hydro Construction Project is the reason for the closure.
From BC Hydro: Road work will take place from April 29 to June 30, 2019 along Valleyview Drive. The south lane of Valleyview Drive will be closed as BC Hydro works in the area. For more information on detours visit https://t.co/ICHAPCpwHT #valleyview

From now until the end of June, the south lane of Valleyview Drive will be closed. During construction, eastbound traffic along Valley Drive will be detoured around Orchard Drive while traffic from Russet Wynd onto Valleyview Drive will only be able to turn right.
Residents should expect delays for the time being and should proceed with caution when in construction zones.
