In What's quickly becoming a holiday tradition, Brennan's Ugly Sweater Run is set to return to the River City this weekend.
For those who haven't attended the event in years past, it is a 5 km walk or run all about the holiday season. Residents are invited to dress in their flashiest Christmas attire and brave the elements at the West Highlands Community Centre.
The third annual event is in memory of Brennan Comazzetto who was tragically killed by a drunk driver when he was just 10-years-old. Brennan loved all things Christmas, which is a major reason the event was put together by his sister, Payton Comazzetto.
This year, the race will feature over $7,000 in prizes as well as a warmup activity. The race is from 10 am to 12 pm and costs a $20 donation for an individual, or $45 for a family of four. Children 12 and under, or students, can get in for a $10 donation.
Those looking to register for the event can do so through here. For people who still want to give but can't make the race, a Go Fund Me has been set up to raise even more cash!
