The RCMP are searching for a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant who may be in the Kamloops area.
In a news release issued Thursday morning, the RCMP said they are asking for the public’s help locating 40-year-old Nicholas James Dekelver.
Dekelver is wanted for allegedly being wanted unlawfully at large after he reportedly failed to comply with conditions of a statutory release, the news release said.

Police believe he has stayed in Kamloops but he may have travelled to other, undisclosed locations as well.
Dekelver is described as a white male standing at 5’8” and weighing 135 lbs. He has a slim build with brown hair and brown eyes.
According to the news release, he has several tattoos including a skull with flames on his right forearm, “Script RIP – RDT” on his upper back and a mushroom on his right shoulder.
“If anyone sees him or has information related to his whereabouts, please do not approach him, but instead contact your nearest police detachment as soon as possible,” the police said.
